Something Old, Something New

Twinning Pieces - Wearing Prints in the Fall

When it comes to wearing funky prints, I would like to believe I have mastered the art.   I enjoy dressing lively, and making bold statements every chance I get.  So naturally my eyes are drawn to prints when I shop.  On my recent trip, visiting my BFF in NYC, I was on a mission to find the exact outfit I am wearing in this post.

I scored this twin set at Zara very reasonably priced.  This outfit also has the versatility that I look for in clothing. I can wear it throughout the year, dressed both up and down.

Due to the dropping temps as of late, I layered my twin set with a cardigan and wore a pair of brogues.  I figured tights and Chelseas or block heel booties would also be a great looking, comfy alternative.

Just Add a Cardigan...

As I promised a few post I would style this little summer coral dress for the fall.  Over this past weeks the temps have been dipping into the low 60s at night, and like most of you i am not ready to bid my dearest summer adieu.

The easiest way to transition summer pieces into the fall is to simply add a layer.  I achieved this look by taking the simple sundress and pairing it with a cardigan.  Secondly, another way to ease into the colder months is by updating your make-up.   Rather you prefer the deep berries, blackish purples or nudes lipsticks, putting away the bright pink and corals will help you embrace the change.
