Something Old, Something New

London Fashion Week - Delpozo SS19 Blossoms

Now as we coast through the remainder of fashion month’s shows, I must stop and appreciate the always beautifully crafted collection from Delpozo. I have been a fan of this Spanish brand for some time now and they never disappoints.

So to jump right into my LFW fashion week highlight, Delpozo is a newcomer to the London town scene. I don’t know if the idea to add beautiful sweeping floral fascinators to models were intentional or not, but if so, it was a wonderful way to pay homage to the Brits. Like many of their past collections, designs were ultra feminine and delicate. Models just seemed to float on air as they came down the runway in pastel looks. Designs ranged from soft silhouettes of flowy, sheer siffrons to structured high waisted pantsuits.

London Fashion Week Recap - The Good, bad and the Ugly

Hey guys I am so happy to come back to you with another blog post.  This post will be a short recap of my London Fashion Week experience.

So the days leading up to fashion week, I started receiving all of my invites in the mail and receiving tons of e-vites from the PR agencies that were representing the designers and brands.  This is when all of the planning and organizing started, and it was at this point that I realized that I had to do some picking choosing because my shows/presentations were overlapping.  I couldn't believe that me of all people had to actually pick and choose shows to attend!!!

The Three Floor presentation was beautiful and full of colour.  I was really excited to see this new collection because the A/W 16 collection was so impressive.  Three Floor actually partnered with UN Women National Committee UK to create a limited edition capsule collection.  The brand also donated 20% of product sales to UN Women UK.

John Smedley collection was a modernized twist to his classic luxury knitwear.  Every piece possessed such functionality and sensibility.  The wool cashmere separates have striking silhouettes that are great for layering.

Please check out my next post that will cover more from day 1 of LFW, as well as coverage from the entire week.
