Something Old, Something New

London Fashion Week - Delpozo SS19 Blossoms

Now as we coast through the remainder of fashion month’s shows, I must stop and appreciate the always beautifully crafted collection from Delpozo. I have been a fan of this Spanish brand for some time now and they never disappoints.

So to jump right into my LFW fashion week highlight, Delpozo is a newcomer to the London town scene. I don’t know if the idea to add beautiful sweeping floral fascinators to models were intentional or not, but if so, it was a wonderful way to pay homage to the Brits. Like many of their past collections, designs were ultra feminine and delicate. Models just seemed to float on air as they came down the runway in pastel looks. Designs ranged from soft silhouettes of flowy, sheer siffrons to structured high waisted pantsuits.

So Long Summer...Sunflower Fields

As we bid summer adieu, I made it my business to get out and have photos taken in a beautiful sunflower fields in my hometown. Also when you have the perfect outfit in mind why not call up your photographer, and go out and make magic happen.

Majority of my outfit is “something old”, but I did recently purchase these white culottes from H&M in the summer sale. They are some of the most flattering trousers I own. I mean you really can’t go wrong with the illusion that a wide leg and high waist line creates - think taller and lean…legs for days!!!

Now on to the rest of the outfit, I paired my vintage robe/kimono with a silk polka dot Escada bodysuit. Fancy right. I wanted my look to compliment my beautiful surroundings, and these pieces fit the bill. I kept my jewelry very simple. Pearls to match the polka dots, and a simple gold necklace.

Copenhagen Fashion Week SS19 - Cecilie Bahnsen Recap

Copenhagen kicks off the fashion calendar, and boy does it set the tone for the upcoming season.  The brand that I'm highlighting in this post is Cecilie Bahnsen.  She has only been an established luxury brand for a few years but her feminine sihouletes and those beautiful baby doll dresses are leaving a sure mark on the Danes and the rest of the world alike.

Although the sandals are a bit of a contrast, personally I like them.  The pearls and diamonds along the strips add a complementary touch.  I also noted that the designer opted not to feature black in this collection, but instead expanded the designs with simple and cute two pieces.
