NOLA Thrift Store Find

Hey guys.  Guess who's back within a week's time - ME!!! 

Earlier this month, my younger cousin and I took an extended weekend trip down to New Orleans for the Essence Music Festival.  This time, we actually made time to explore the city a bit more than we have on past visits to the city.  We woke up earlier, and walked around our neighborhood (the Garden District, along Carrollton St.) had coffee and a bit of brunch at local eateries, rode the streetcar down to the French Quarter, and visited local thrift and consignment stores.  New Orleans is such a charming city.  Charming in code word for spooky

I found this beautiful blouse at a thrift store called Blooming Deals, a local non profit organized by the Junior League New Orleans.  It was priced at only $7.00.  It had to come home with me.

Vintage Inspired Dress ft. Charming Charlie

Hey guys, I'm BACKKKK!!!  Sorry if you guys have been feeling a bit deserted by my absence.  I am still here blogging, and styling up outfits with hints of vintage flair.  However, I have been concentrating a lot more on professional styling, and building my online store.

When I first started this blog it was my outlet.  I wanted to tap into my love for fashion, and create a style diary of sorts.  I had begun to challenge myself with style.  I recall attempting to not repeat outfits for an entire year, and I was actually able to do it.  So then I thought maybe I should document this.  Thus was the birth of my personal style blog. 

Fast forward to now, after blogging on and off for nearly 5 years, quitting my legal job and moving to London, I can proudly say that I have a career in fashion, butunfortunately sometimes work doesn't allow me to blog as much.  **priorities man**  However, I promise to work harder to be more visible on this platform.  You guys are my friends, and I love that even when I go on a hiatus, I can always comeback and you all are right here.

The Gloom Invoked The Mood

Back again in the Girbauds.  Yes I am answering my "man repeller" calling.  They may be fugly to you, but these jeans are growing on me guys so don't point and laugh if you see me in them around town.  And I am discovering they are quite versatile. 

This time I took a few shots in the studio.  I remember this day was pretty gloomy so there wasn't much natural sunlight coming in, and it was the end of a long day for me...as you can probably tell from my face.  Thankfully Howard made me take these pics of my outfit that day because I love them all.  Editing was pretty hard this week, so yep I have 9 pics featured.  Hope you guys enjoy them.  I feel another style evolution happening.  I am comfortable with that.
