In this post I want to give you guys a peek at some of the footwear that I have been coveting this season.  My favorite color this season is OXBLOOD, and I have been obsessively buying it every time I step into a store.  So it's a no brainer that this color would be reflected in my must have shoe choices.

Style Challenge - Gap Factory Store

Happy Monday guys.  I want to introduce something new to the blog.  I had the idea to start a new series on the blog which gives a few pointers on how to go in stores and build outfits in less than 5 minutes.  This will be lots of fun and I hope it's helpful.

I started in my neighborhood Gap Outlet Store because I am a huge fan of the brands.  You can never go wrong with their classic, americano style as your basis.  I added fun accessories and "voila" - the perfect outfits.

I picked pieces for a casual outfit, as well as a dressier look.  Pictured above are the items I scurried around Gap collecting, and below is short video of me in store and modeling my outfits.

I hope I was able to help with styling looks in limited time.

Get Active - Color Fun Fest 5K

Last weekend around this time I was gearing up for most epic 5k I've ever experienced - NO...that Memphis has ever experienced.  The Color Fun Fest 5k rolled into town and took the city by storm (literally...there was a short rain shower just before the day time race began), but that stopped nothing.   Memphis showed up in great numbers, and all were super hyped about embarking on this color journey that the Color Fun Fest 5K was about to take us on.   The event was held at the Liberty Bowl Stadium, and the scene at the race when we arrived was like being dropped into a kaleidoscope with bright glowing powder, black-lights, djs, vendors, and folks in crazy costumes, headpieces, and glow stick accessories.

The fun I had at this race is indescribable.   I ran the entire race, and I didn't get tired once.  I guess when you are getting bombed with color, and laughing and having fun with fellow runners time just flies.  Hopefully this recap and my pictures encourage you guys to get active and be apart of this event, as well as any other fun events like this one when they come into the Mid South.  For more info on the Color Fun Fest 5k click here.
