Something Old, Something New

Mad Hatter - Brooklyn Hat Company

Hey guys, today I woke up and there was a bit of a crispness in the air!!! That was exciting because I started to think how this time of year is just perfect for taking your autumnal pieces out for a spin, as well as start buying the staples that will further shape your A/W wardrobe this season.

I started with my beautiful new brim from Brooklyn Hat Company.   The classic style of this hat pairs perfectly with my personal style especially since I tend to go for vintage inspired items.   I opted for the hat in black because (duh), but another drawing factor towards this hat was the unique feather detail.  It's super cute.

Another great quality of this hat is that although it's felt wool, it has a satin lining that works so well with my naturally coily, kinky hair.  Wool, and different synthetic materials tend to dry out my hair, but this hat is perfect.

If you want your very own, Brooklyn Hat Company wool hat they are available at small fashion boutiques and larger retailers like, Free People, Anthropology, Fred Segal, Rue La La, Urban Outfitters and online at Head Change.

Basic Bleu

I have unapologetically been into monochrome as of late.  I don't really know if it's my personal style evolving or if the amount of stress in my personal life is causing me to subconsciously streamline my wardrobe.  I do, however, know I love it and it makes me happy so that's how i'ma roll for now.  Now onto the outfit, I am wearing shades of BLUE...with a hint of teal.

I scored this blouse at the Goodwill for a few buck, and I paired it with my Banana Republic stretch jeans.   Pictured below, as you can see I am sporting these super cute beaded bracelets from Joseph Nogucci.

Celebrate with SOSNU!!!

Earlier in the month I celebrated my birthday, and to commemorate the occasion I debuted my SOSNU Blog custom t-shirt that I received from idakoos.com.  I want to offer you, my lovely readers, the opportunity to purchase your very own custom t-shirt using an exclusive coupon code.

My experience with the good people over at idakoos.com was more that I ever expected.  Customer service, and their standand of excellence was second to none.  My custom t-shirt arrived promptly as scheduled, and was securely packaged.   As you can see I chose a basic white women's t-shirt donning my SOSNU logo.  The custom t-shirt is amazing quality, the cotton is reminiscent to a jersey material because there is a bit of stretch to the fabric.  The stretch offers more comfort and wearability to the t-shirt, and that's a huge plus.
