Something Old, Something New

Sourcing in Something Old

Hey guys, I have been shopping almost non-stop as of late for my very first editorial shoot, and although it has been a lot of fun, it is also very tiring...hence my face in some of the pictures.

Believe it or not but, it was incredibly hot in London over the weekend.  However, I still don't trust the weather here, so I wanted to dress nice and cool, but just in case the temps started to drop I wanted to be able to cover myself.  I picked up this maxi dress some time ago at a Goodwill for a few bucks.  Usually, I wear it belted at the waist for a dressy look, but this particular day I just wanted to wear it loose because I felt it looked best with the sneakers.   And this comfy look with the sneakers were a must for running around London, and going in and out of the shops down on Oxford Street.

Strong and Springy

Happy Spring guys!!!  The temps are warming up, but I am still playing it safe in opaque tights especially since we have been getting so much rain lately.  I absolutely hate getting rain water on my bare legs.

In this post, I wore a "muscle" shirt that was gifted to me by my older cousin.  The shirt was actually given to me a few years ago, and I hadn't gotten around to wearing it until just now.  I paired the form fitting shirt with a pink leather skirt I purchased at Zara, and added some opaque burgundy tights to complete the look.

Let's Transition - Winter Me Down

In this post, I want to show you all an outfit that I transitioned from summer into winter.

I purchased this beautiful, bright print culotte jumpsuit from Topshop on sale during the Labor Day holiday.  Actually when I bought it the weather was already starting to become a bit chilly, so I started thinking of ways to winterize the jumpsuit.

Initially, I thought the easiest way to wear the jumpsuit in winter was to add tights with boots and a turtleneck, which still may be; however I didn't have boots and turtlenecks in the colors I thought would look best with outfit.  So instead of wearing this at the height of winter, I waited and wore this look on a warmer day.

Layering is the key to transitioning any summer item of clothing into fall and winter.
