Something Old, Something New

Copenhagen Fashion Week - Ganni

Back again with another highlight from Copenhagen Fashion Week.  Ganni is the "IT" brand stomping down the runways during CPH Fashion Week.

Above is a few of my favorite runway looks.  How can you possibly deny yourself cozy knit jumpers, tiered ruffles, perfectly curated layering and bold floral prints.  I totally get why this was the most coveted show of the season.  But honestly guys, the 90s vibe wasn't a win with me.  I grew up during that time when JNCO jeans were popular, and I wasn't a fan then...def not a fan of these super wide leg jeans now.   True I haven't tried these babies on, I'm sure they are super comfy, so who knows, I may be donning a pair.

Copenhagen Fashion Week - Stine Goya

Hey guys!!!! In this post I wanted to share a bit of an obsession of mine.  Scandinavian countries, well mainly the scandi fashion.  I am freaking obsessed.  I've only been through Iceland a few times, but I really would love to visit Sweden and Denmark.  Of course there is loads of history there, buildings and landscape, but I would be there for fashion and people watching.

Copenhagen fashion week kicks off the fashion calendar.  This past week many editors, buyers,  photographers and influencers took to CPH to take in all things fresh and culturally rich.  Today I am highlighting Stine Goya.  Although not the most popular brand I was instantly drawn to the maximalist aesthetic.  Optical overload.  The colors, stacked prints, florals, make up and hair, everything took more than a moment to process.  I loved it all. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the runway.

Ruffles - Gingham Edition

Basics have become my place of comfort in my wardrobe as of late.  However, my personality always manages to shine through.  Here is my take on basics with a fun flair displaying ruffle details in the mini skirt, and the pop of color on my lip and bag.

I managed to score this skirt during H&M summer sale.  I got it discounted for only about $10.00.  Talk about excitement.  I have always been such a fan of gingham print, but after trying on several styles in tops I found that it didn't suit me.  However, I couldn't resist this little cute skirt.  One thing I wanted to point out about the skirt is that I went up a few sizes because I needed a bit more length.  I urge you guys to not be set on wearing a certain size in clothing.  I tried the skirt on in size 2 (my normal size); however, I couldn't bring myself to wear a micro mini.  The skirt in my actual size didn't look age appropriate, nor was I comfortable.  So the shop assistant gladly brought me in larger sizes, and I was much happier with skirt and how it looked on me.
