Crown of Roses - Floral Headband

Hey guys I wanted to show you all how I wore my new rose headband.  I had been seeing a lot of floral headbands, and I was dieing to get one.  When I spotted this beautiful red rose headband at Versona Accessories I had to have it. 

I paired my headband with a lace black and white dress that I picked up last year at H&M.  Instead of doing the usual flower power, boho look with the headband, I opted to wear mine in a dressy way because I was going to my family's church.  So here is an option for dressing up a floral headband.

Get Active - Color Fun Fest 5K

Last weekend around this time I was gearing up for most epic 5k I've ever experienced - NO...that Memphis has ever experienced.  The Color Fun Fest 5k rolled into town and took the city by storm (literally...there was a short rain shower just before the day time race began), but that stopped nothing.   Memphis showed up in great numbers, and all were super hyped about embarking on this color journey that the Color Fun Fest 5K was about to take us on.   The event was held at the Liberty Bowl Stadium, and the scene at the race when we arrived was like being dropped into a kaleidoscope with bright glowing powder, black-lights, djs, vendors, and folks in crazy costumes, headpieces, and glow stick accessories.

The fun I had at this race is indescribable.   I ran the entire race, and I didn't get tired once.  I guess when you are getting bombed with color, and laughing and having fun with fellow runners time just flies.  Hopefully this recap and my pictures encourage you guys to get active and be apart of this event, as well as any other fun events like this one when they come into the Mid South.  For more info on the Color Fun Fest 5k click here.

Trying Something New - FITNESS

Hey guys, although we are well into summer it's never to late to get into great shape. This week I will post on ALL THINGS FITNESS (including later in the week amazing photos from my most recent 5K).

Pictured below are essentials to starting any fitness routine at a beginner's level.  You simply need the basics - clothing for layering, dumbbells, a stopwatch and gym shoes.
