Something Old, Something New

Floral Shorts

In this post, I would like to share another thrift find from my Chicago trip.  My BBF took me to her favorite thrift store in the city, Unique Thrift, and it was our lucky day.  Unique has HALF OFF everything on Mondays.  So my Chicago readers definitely take advantage of that.

I was able to score these amazing vintage shorts for about $4.00 (they were marked down half of $7.99).  The bright, bold floral print caught my eyes immediately as I was perusing the aisle of clothing.

Top It Off - Crop Tops

Well guys, I hope that you all are well.  I am in a really sweet place right now, and it's for more reasons than one.  For starters, I've finally had the opportunity to visit my best friend and her newborn son in Chicago.  Holding that little fellow was a happiness that I have never experienced.  He is such a perfect human, and he will have my heart forever.

Now let's get into this crop top situation.  I purchased this amazing crop top at a store named Windsor while in Chicago.  Of course it was purchased on discount, so that made it super awesome.   This little store was having a mega sale, I also purchased my sandals here.

Weekend Recap - Off Duty Style

This post is a synopsis of the outfits I wear for my weekend workout regimen.  You know the usual exercises of  Saturday shopping, and looking fly at Sunday brunch.

For shopping, comfort is key.  I wore a fun print cotton shirt that I scored at the thrift store for a few dollars.  I especially love the 90s vibe of the shirt.  Shorts are good solution for shopping because they are so easy to slide in and out of when shopping, and lastly -flat shoes.

.....and I'm off.  The shopping ensues.

My favorite day of the week is Sunday.  That's the day we celebrate Jesus, and it's Brunch day.  Brunch is my favorite meal of the week.  Nothing makes me happier than sweet and savory dishes topped off with a round of mimosas.  Brunches and beautiful seem to go together hand and hand.  This day was particularly beautiful, and although the sun was shining the wind was blowing catching my high low skirt.
