Something Old, Something New

New Year, New Blog Post

Hey guys I am back with my first blog post of the new year.  In this post I hope to encapsulates what's to come in 2017, which is lots of giggles and plenty of gigs (hence the suitcase, this girl is off to work).  Oh yea, and amazing outfits with fabulous shoes.   Happy New Years lovelies.

Wacky Holiday Outfit

Tis the season guys, so I am back with another outfit post.  However, this post serves a different purpose meaning that it's not meant to be so cute.  This is an outfit that I would wear if I were invited to a holiday party that I didn't want to go to.  It's sort of meant to shame the person that's making me tag along. hahaha. Have a looksie, and tell me what you think of the outfit.

Looking back on these pictures, I actually like this outfit alot.  Maybe minus the oversized sweatshirt, but still a great look.  Those tights are so festive and cute, and my black brogues are second to none in my wardrobe.  I scored the tangerine rollneck at my local Salvation Army on 50% off day, and I have been wearing it non-stop every since.  The satin skirt is an oldie, but goodie from The Gap.

Candy Cane Jane

Happy Holidays guys!!! I'm sticking to my love for black and white in this post with a generous splash of color.  The jumper dress is incredibly old, I bought it maybe 10 years ago.  However, it managed to hide in the back of my closet, avoided being donated to the Goodwill.

When I initially came back across this dress, I can't lie I thought hideous, but honestly at one point in my life this was my absolute favorite dress.  I loved the color and print, and the fact that it bubbled at the knees was a trend that I died for in 2005.  I figured since I once loved this dress, I could surely modernize it a bit making it work for my style and taste now.  And that's what I did.  I added a black and white striped sweater, a choker (which is very in style at the moment), and a pair of brogues.  What do you guys think??
